Russian heavyweight judoka Stepan Sarkisian was European U23 Champion in 2013 in Samokov. He won his first World Cup medal in Tallinn in 2014 winning bronze +100kg. Sarkisian added bronze at the African Open in Casablanca in 2015 and same performance in 2016.
