German Judo coach Michael Bazynski was successful for eight years for the German Judo Federation. He won two Olympic medals in 2012 and 2016 and the women captured almost 30 medals at World and European Championships. In 2017 he moved to the Dutch Judo Association and was successful coach of Sanne van Dijke and won a world and Olympic medal and resigned after the 2020 Games. At the 2016 Rio Games he won bronze with Laura Vargas Koch. As an athlete he won European silver in 1985 and he captured three national titles U86kg in the eighties. Micha was awarded the 8th Dan in 2021.
