Korean phenomenon Jae-Yup Kim was the 1988 Olympic Champion of Seoul. One year earlier the lihgtweight U65kg won the world title in Essen. He was also finalist in 1984 but lost the final in Los Angeles against Shinji Hosokawa. Kim was 1983 junior World Champion.
