Former Cadet (2009) and Junior World Champion (2010). Triple World Champion with the Japanese team (2015, 2018, 2019). Collected 28 World Cup medals, 25 in the World Judo Tour, 13 victories. Three-time winner of Grand Slam Tokyo. Four IJF Masters gold medals (co-record holder). Finished fifth at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games -63kg, a loss for bronze against Gerbi (ISR). Finished ninth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games after a loss vs Ozdoba (POL).
