Judoka Roswitha Hartl of Austria was 1988 Olympic bronze medallist in Seoul at the first Olympic Games for women. She claimed three silver medals at European Championships in 1984, 1985 and 1986 and won bronze in 1988. At the World Championships in 1987 in Essen Roswitha Hartl won the bronze medal.
