Vanessa Chala of Ecuador won the Pan American Open in Buenos Aires in 2014. Chala competed at various World Championships. She captured the gold at the Pan American Open in Santo Domingo in 2019. She bagged a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Antalya in 2021. She took gold at the Pan American Championships in Guadalajara in 2021. She took gold at the Pan Am Open in Bogota in 2022. She triumphed at the Pan American Open in Cordoba and Santiago in 2023.
