Taipei judoka Chen-Ling Lien became the first Chinese Taipei judoka to win a Grand Prix when she was victorious in the -57kg category at the 2015 event in Budapest, HUN. The most successful Chinese Taipei judoka in the World Judo Tour winning 3 World Tour gold medals (2015, 2017, 2019) of 13 in total including 5 Grand Slam silver medals. Asian Games champion in 2023, bronze in 2018 (Jakarta) and 2010 (Guangzhou). She claimed five Asian Championships medalssince 2011. She is Japan based and she belongs to Komatsu, a corporate group and was an exchange student at Yamanashi Gakuin University.
