Heavyweight judoka Klaus Glahn was 1972 Olympic finalist, he also won bronze at the first Judo Olympic Games in 1964 for West Germany. This German survivor won 6 World medals and was European Champion in 1963, 1968 and 1970. He was awarded the ninth Dan at the World Championships by Marius Vizer.
