German judoka Kristin Buessow won the European U23 Championships in 2010 in Sarajevo as heavyweight. She won her first European Cup bronze medal in 2013 in Minsk and added silver in Minsk as well in 2015. She won three European Cups and took silver at the 2016 European Open in Madrid. She captured bronze at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017. Kristin won the European Open in Madrid in 2018.
