Meriem Moussa of Algeria won medals at African Championships and she won the African Games in U48kg in 2007 and 2009 and African Junior titles in 2005 and 2006. One of her major medals was bronze at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2010 U52kg. She won silver at the African Championships in Tunis in 2016 and gold in 2017 in Madagascar. African Junior champion in 2005. She clinched a bronze medal at the African Championships in Cape Town in 2019. She took bronze at the African Games in Rabat in 2019.
