Irish judoka Nathon Burns won the Pan American Open in Buenos Aires in 2015. He medalled many times at British championships U60 and U66kg. He won World Cup medals in Europe and South America. He switched from Great Britain to Ireland in 2017. He took a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Montreal. He clinched a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
