American judoka Clifton Sunada was born in 1971 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is five time American Judo Champion and took silver at the Pan American Games in Havana in 1991. He captured bronze at the Goodwill Games in St. Petersburg in 1994 and won the US Open in Colorado Springs in 1997. Clinton competed at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
