Japanese judoka Megumi Tachimoto made her international debut in 2007 at the Belgian Open. She won five World Championships medals and was in the final of the 2015 Worlds in Astana and furthermore collected four bronze medals in 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2014. Megumi won 13 IJF World Tour events including four Grand Slams in Paris, which says enough about her dominance as a heavyweight. She claimed three victories at the Tokyo Grand Slam. With the Japanese team she won the World titles in 2012, 2013 and 2014. She was IJF World Ranking leader in 2011.
