Algerian judoka Amar Benikhlef was 2008 Olympic finalist in Beijing. Benikhlef spent a few months in Belgium at Club Cercle de Judo. He had a good Kata-guruma, left handed and coached by Meziane Dahmani. He is multiple African Champion in 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2011. Benikhlef was inducted into the IJF Hall of Fame in 2018. After his career he became headcoach of Algeria. Benikhlef was banned for 10 years as a coach for the withdrawl of his athlete Fethi Nourine at the 2020 Tokyo Games until 2031.
