Brazilian judoka Michael Marcelino won silver at the World Cadet Champion in 2015 in Sarajevo. He took a silver medal at the Junior World Championships in Nassau in the Bahamas. Michael Marcelino (BRA) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for juniors in 2016 and 2019. He took a bronze medal at the Junior Pan American Championships in Cali in 2019. He captured a bronze medal at the Junior World Championships in Marrakech in 2019. He took gold at the Panam Open in Bariloche in 2020. He bagged bronze at the Panam Open in Guayaquil in July 2023 and silver in Bahia and Lima in 2023.
