For years, Bernard Etoga has represented his country and Africa in the biggest international competitions. In 1997 he was a finalist at the Games for French Speaking countries, while a few years later he won a medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2002. Bernard Etoga was several times champion of Cameroon and champion of the tournament of the city of Yaoundé. It was in 2004 that he became African Champion and was named best African judoka. He passed away end 2020.
