French judoka Guillaume Chaine won the European Open in Lisbon in 2017. He won bronze at the Grand Prix in Düsseldorf in 2017. Chaine won three Continental Opens in 2015 in Tunis, Minsk and Glasgow and took silver at the Grand Slam in Tyumen. Chaine was French champion in 2014 and won several national medals. In 2002 he started as French Cadet champion. He won the European Cup in Saarbrücken in 2018. He took gold at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi in 2019 and bronze in Antalya. Seized gold at the Belgian Open in Visé in 2012.
