Judoka Javier Madera, post his competitive career, transitioned into coaching, dedicating five years to Chile. His coaching spanned from nurturing U15 athletes to mentoring top adult teams. Since 2020, he's been actively involved with the Bavarian Judo Association, assuming the role of a national base coach in Munich by 2022. During his 11-year tenure in Spain's national team, he attained a commendable bronze at the European Cup in London (2012) and marked his highest achievement securing 9th place at the Rio Worlds (2013). Presently in Bavaria, he works with esteemed Brazilian Erika Miranda.
