Carlos Zegarra of Peru won bronze medals at Panam Games and championships +100kg. Carlos competed at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. He won the World Cup in Apia in 2010 and he took bronze in 2012 in Buenos Aires. Multiple gold at Bolivarian Games. After his career he became the president of the Peruvian Judo Federation and was elected President of the Pan American Judo Confederation (PJC) in 2021.
