Anthonie Wurth was 1991 European Champion in Prague. He finished fifth at the 1991 World Championships in Barcelona and participated at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. As Junior he took bronze at European Championships in Wroclaw in 1987. He won various Dutch titles as Junior, senior and with his team of Mahorokan. He entered the Dutch senior final 4 times in three different weight categories. Triumphed at the German Open, Dutch Open, Czech Open, Hungarian Open and British Open. Became an international entrepreneur and was appointed interim Technical Director of the Dutch Judo Association.
