Georgian judoka Giorgi Sardalashvili became the world champion in 2024 in Abu Dhabi. He finished fifth a the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. He captured the Junior world title in 2021 in Olbia and captured silver at the Junior worlds in 2022. He took bronze at the 2023 Worlds in Doha. He claimed the gold medal at the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi in 2022. Sardalashvili took silver at the Grand Slam in Tbilisi in 2022 and 2023. He finished with bronze at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2022. He finished second at the Grand Slam in Tashkent in 2024. His role model is Ilias Iliadis.
