Japanese heavyweight judoka Tatsuru Saito took a silver medal at the World Championships in Tashkent in 2022. He won the 2018 Junior world title in Nassau. He seized gold at the Grand Slam Qazaqstan Barysy in 2024. He bagged a gold medal at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2021. He claimed gold at the IJF Masters in Jerusalem in 2022 and bronze in 2023 in Budapest. He secured a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Antalya in 2024. Attained gold at the 2024 Pan American Open in Lima. He finished fifth at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
