Georgian judoka Vladimir Akhalkatsi became the U23 European Champion in 2018 in Gyor. He won gold at the European Cup in Uster and Cluj Napoca in 2019. He took silver at the Junior European Championships in 2019 in Vaantaa. He bagged the gold at the World U21 Championships in Marrakech in 2019. He claimed bronze at the European U23 Championships in Porec in 2020. He bagged a silver medal at the European U23 title in Budapest in 2021. He won the European Open in Oberwart in 2022. Attained silver at the 2024 European Open in Madrid. Gold at the 2024 European Open in Rome.
