Judoka Vitaliy Polyanskyy from Ukraine became World Champion veterans 2017 M2 U100kg. He won The New York Open in 2006 and was multiple Ukraine champion. The heavyweight moved to Canada and became Canadian champion in 2010. Vitaliy took medals at various World Cups such as Warsaw, Prague and Tallinn and he captured a bronze medal at the Tournoi de Parisin 2006.
