Sixteen-year old Christi-Rose Pretorius debuted on the IJF World Judo Tour in Zagreb in 2019. She won silver at the Youth Olympic Games team event in 2018. A native from Zimbabwe, Christi-Rose lives and goes to school in Great Britain. She trains at Tonbridge Judo Club with her coach Chris Bowles and assistant-coach Ben Urban. She captured the gold medal at the African Cup U21 in Tunis in 2019. She captured a silver medal at the European Cup for Cadets in Koper and bronze in Gyor in 2019. She took a gold medal at the Junior European Cup in Birmingham in 2023.
