The Judo Federation of Uzbekistan (JFUz) led by Azizjon Kamilov will organise the Judo World Championships in 2021 in the city of Tashkent. The federation has organized a series of big events in Tashkent such as the Grand Prix in the brand-new 'Humo Arena' For the first time in Judo history, the IJF and the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) are planning to host a joint 2021 World Judo Championships, with the IBSA competition immediately following the IJF worlds. Uzbekistan had two World Champions in the past. Rishod Sobirov in 2010 and 2011 and Abdullo Tangriev in 2011. National headcoach is IJF Judo ambassador Ilias Iliadis.
