Judo in Denmark

Danish judo had good judoka in the eighties and nineties who had top 8 positions at European and World Level such as Merete Grey. In 2015 Frederik Joergensen became 7th at the European Championships in 2015, a hopeful result. In 2016 Mathias Madsen won silver for Judo Danmark at the European Cadet Championships. Phuc Hong Cai won World Cadet bronze in 2009 in Budapest. Nowadays Laerke Marie Olsen and Mathias Madsen booked good victories in the Junior division and Emilie Sook is trying to make the connection in the senior division. Judo Danmark is building a new future and the first results are achieved with the first IJF World Tour medal by Emilie Sook.
