Dutch judoka Kim Polling is the queen of judo winning her second title U70kg at the European Judo Championships in Montpellier. Polling dominated the whole day with short victories and always by ippon. In the final she bested World silver medallist Laura Vargas Koch with an amazing point stating she is unstoppable in Europe and the number one candidate for the world title later in Russia.

In the final Polling needed just 9 seconds to impress the full crowd of her strentgh. Europe can celebrate a potential Olympic medalists of this class. Although judo is a vulnerable sport, Polling cannot be stopped in this stage. Also Laura Vargas Koch  was impressed by Polling. If Polling is in good shape no one can stop her and Polling doesn't even know where it's coming from. "I'm impulsive and sometimes I don't know what I'm doing, I just grab and throw and this is the best thing of judo. It felt good today and I had no doubts in my matches."

Polling defeated Valeria Ferrari of Italy in her first bout, followed by Juliane Robra of Switzerland and Maria Bernabeu who was set aside quickly as well. Vargas Koch defeated Fanny Posvite in the semi. Posvite though lost the bronze to Bernadette Graf from Austria. The second bronze was for Barbara Matic of Croatia who was able to beat Maria Bernabeu who had beaten Graf in 7 seconds.
