Judoka Mara Kovacevic of Serbia was the 2003 World bronze medallist in Osaka. Kovacevic won 16 World Cup medals including 5 victories, four in Sofia, 1 in Leonding. She won a bronze at the European Junior Championships in Pieksämäki in 1991 as heavyweight. She captured gold at the Balkan Championships in 2003 in Belgrade.
