Robert Mshvidobadze started his career in Georgia and won European Cadet medals. He started fighting for Russia in 2008 and took three silver medals at European U23 Championships. In 2017 he became European Senior champion in Warsaw. Mshvidobadze is former World Police Champion in 2012. He won the World Cups in Baku and Minsk. He won silver at the Grand Prix in Zagreb and took bronze at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2016.
