    Not Israelian favourite Baruch Shmailov but Russian Morad Chpoanov was the surprise semi finalist U66kg in Tel Aviv. He lost to Dzmitry Minkou, the Belarussia promise who may found his peace and came back into a final of a Grand Slam for the first time and a secure podium place for the first time since 2018. Minkou's opponent was Spaniard Alberto Martin Gaitero who seems to become the successor of Sugoi Uriarte U66kg. Read more

    A surprising category U52kg on Thursday in Tel Aviv as three of the top 4 seeds didn’t make it to the final block. That is enough of a surprise in itself, but the real shock was watching Great Britain’s unseeded Chelsie Giles threw the Olympic champion, Kelmendi (KOS) for ippon in the semi-final.     Since turning professional in 2007, Teddy Riner has dominated the sport of judo. To date, he is a two-time Olympic gold medal winner, clinching the honor in both 2012 and 2016. Aside from triumphing on the global stage, the 31-year-old also has eight World Championships and five European Championships under his belt.
