Asian Tour will cause some minor changes in World Ranking

Some small changes in the latest IJF World Ranking this week. Korean World Champion An Baul is the new #3 in the category U66kg, he passed Mikhail Pulyaev on the list, now at 4. His Russian colleague Beslan Mudranov fell out of the top 10 U60kg.

The top 10 in the category U73kg is the same as last week.

Brazilian Victor Penalber moved up one place to 5, from 6 U81kg. Russian Alan Khubetsov replaced Sirazhudin Magomedov at place 9 in the World Rank U81kg.

Japanese world bronze medallist Mashu Baker moved up one place to three U90kg, he passed Dutchman Noel van ‘t End who suffered an injury for a few months and is on his way back. Iliadis (now 10) swapped placed with Alexandre Iddir (FRA) now at 9.

Belgian Toma Nikiforov moved up again, just one place swap with Dimi Peters. With the deduction of points for past events Ryunosuke Haga will benefit, he moved this week to 8, from 9. Last week’s finalist Maxim Rakov is back in the top 10.

Qingdao finalist Kim Sung-Min jumped from 10 to place 7 in the top 10 +100kg, he won the Grand Slam of Tokyo three times, so he must win again to prevent reduction.

U48kg Dilara Lokmanhekim is back into the top 10 and the highest ranked Turkish fighter.

Qingdao finalist Gulbadam Babamuratova from Turkmenistan proceeded her march to the top, now in the top 10.

No serious changes in the top 10 U57kg. U63kg German Martyna Trajdos is ranked three in the World’s best women U63kg, last week it was Kathrin Unterwurzacher of Austria. Chinese Qingdao winner Junxia Yang arrived in the top 10 and replaced Anne-Laure Bellard.

The top 10 U70kg is exactly the same as last week with Kim Polling as captain. U78kg Madeleine Malonga replaced Kyong Sol at number 10.

In the heavyweight category Idalys Ortiz of Cuba is this week at 3, from 4 a swap with French Emilie Andeol.

The new ranking will be used for the seedings this week in Jeju.
