A penalty for Duprat and Bourguignon after mooning joke in Chelyabinsk
10 Jan 2015 18:25
Despite their confession and apology letter addressed to the IJF, Pierre Duprat and Adrien Bourguignon are suspended after showing their "back side" on the bus window at a Chelyabinsk parking during the World Championships, a joke turns into a serious penalty.
The French Judo Federation has decided to remove the men of all official competitions from 22 December to 22 March. During which will be held eight continental Open and two Grands Prix, one in Düsseldorf (Germany, 20-22 February) and second in Tbilisi (Georgia, 20-22 March). If selected, this is all what they will get to prepare for the European Championships later this year.
Really unprofessional move from 23-year old Bourguignon who until one year ago didn't know what is first team and IJF tour he could see only on TV as he was competing only at European Cups. Does French team really need rookie like that in their team, who's biggest success in career is "one minute show" in front of the world?
