The team of Japan is fully back in the top of judo. Forget 2012, they’re back. With the double in the team event, for the first time since 2002 and six gold medals, four silver medals and five bronze medals the team impressed like never before.

Mashu Baker back in the Tour with Grand Prix gold

Three time continental medalist Colton Brown (USA) was on fire today in the men's U90kg weight division at the Grand Prix in Montreal. He entered the final for the first time on the occasion of a Grand Prix to be opposed to the current Olympic Champion, Baker Mashu, who had an amazing series of wins during the morning session, winning three of his matches by ippon and one by waza-ari. Olympic Champion Mashu Baker injured

Japan's Olympic gold medalist Mashu Baker will skip this week's Dusseldorf Grand Slam due to a right hamstring injury. 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic champion Baker, will miss the qualifier for the world championships in Tokyo held in August. Read more
