Kosovo Makes History at European Judo Championship

On December 16, Kosovo celebrated a historic moment as it hosted its first European Judo Championship, marking a significant milestone for the country. The event concluded triumphantly, with Kosovo's judo team securing an impressive total of four medals.

Akil Gjakova emerged as the standout performer, clinching the gold medal, while Dardan Cena, Nora Gjakova, and Distria Krasniqi proudly received bronze medals, showcasing Kosovo's rising talent on the international judo stage.

The success of Kosovo's judokas sparked widespread celebrations and garnered praise from local personalities, including Driton Kuka, the coach of the Kosovar judo team. Kuka expressed his pride, hailing the European Open in Pristina as Kosovo's greatest victory to date.
