Chinese Taipei going nuts with two gold medals in judo

On the second day of the Asian Games Judo Tournament held in Hangzhou, In the Women's U57kg category the stage was set for another day of intense competition and remarkable achievements. The second day of judo action featured some standout performances, showcasing the incredible talent and determination of judo athletes from across Asia.

Lien Chen-ling of Chinese Taipei, who had previously won bronze medals in the 2014 and 2018 Asian Games, emerged as a shining star in the Women's U57kg category. She triumphed over Japan's Momo Tamaoki in a hard-fought final, claiming the gold medal. This marked a significant achievement for Lien and added to her country's success in judo, following Yang Yung-wei's gold in the Men's 60kg category on the first and previous day.

Lien's coach, Tsai Yi-fang, praised her relentless spirit and her ability to keep fighting throughout the entire match, highlighting the exceptional qualities that define judo athletes.

The Women's U57kg category was just one of several judo competitions that captivated the audience on this eventful day. In the Women's U70kg category, Shiho Tanaka from Japan secured a gold medal by defeating Mun Song Hui of DPR Korea. Additionally, Feng Yingying of China clinched a bronze medal in the event by taking down Nyam-Erdene Batsuuri of Mongolia.

The second day of the Asian Games Judo Tournament also showcased the Men's events. Murodjon Yuldoshev of Uzbekistan demonstrated his judo prowess by collecting the gold medal in the Men's 73kg category. Tajikistan's Somon Makhmadbekov made his mark by winning the Men's 81kg gold.

As the tournament unfolded, it became clear that the athletes were not just competing for medals but were also embodying the core values of judo, including discipline, respect, and unity. The second day of judo action in Hangzhou added more memorable moments to the rich tapestry of Asian Games history, celebrating the dedication and skill of these extraordinary judo champions.
