IJF President Marius L. Vizer sent its seasons greetings via video a message. He offered his sincere condolences to the family who have lost people due to the COVID-19 or other reasons. He paid tribute to the judo family to overcome the difficulties of the global pandemic with honour and dignity.

Vizer: “It has been a lot of work and dedication and sacrifice for our beloved sport. Our beauty is to protect the judo family and promote our sport and defend the interest of our athletes. In such difficult year we can be proud of what we have achieved. We have adapted to our difficult situation and organized the IJF World Judo Tour with all sanitary guarantees and developed social programs. We have organized the World Championships and Olympic Games and events for judoka of all ages. Tokyo was a huge success and we will always remember that we have had the first ever mixed team event in Japan, the home of Judo. Judo made History.”

Vizer talked about the sustainable judo events with the help of the national federations and athletes and many other people. “Judo will continue to our home and helping those in need and building a better world together because that is how we are stronger. I wish you all health and happiness. Together with renewed energy and determination in 2022. Happy holidays.”
