Linda Bolder has captured the Grand Slam title in Paris. The Dutch who won all possible youth European titles was in great shape in Paris. The Former Tokyo Grand Slam winner defeated French hope Fanny Estelle Posvite to ensure the Netherlands won U70kg gold in Paris for the second consecutive year. Kim Polling struck in 2013 and in her absence through injury, teammate Bolder was the star performer in the category. The former European silver medallist needed just 16 seconds in the final as she won with a juji-gatame after a kouchi-gari took her to the floor without a score.

In the first semi-final Bolder dispatched Miami Grand Prix bronze medallist Tachimoto Haruka (JPN) on shido penalties while at the same stage Posvite profited from the inactivity of Chen Fei (CHN) who received four shido penalties for hansoku-make.

The first bronze medal was won by 2013 Paris Grand Slam bronze medallist Kelita Zupancic (CAN) who defeated Chen by ippon. The second bronze medal was clinched by Tachimoto who bested Lucie Perrot with o-goshi for ippon after leading by a yuko from ashi-waza.
