Rustam Orujov of Azerbaijan won Olympic silver in Rio and became World Championships silver medallist in 2017 in Budapest and 2019 in Tokyo. In 2016 he was European champion, bronze in 2017 and silver in 2019. Rustam won many IJF World Tour events. Orujov was born in Ust-Ilimsk (RUS). He took the gold medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2017. Rustam took bronze at the IJF World Masters in 2019 in Qingdao. He took gold at the Grand Slam in Budapest in 2020. Preview Finals Day 2 in Qingdao

The second day of the Grand Prix final in Qingdao delivered some surprising finals. In the men’s categories U73 and U81 both finallists have never met before. Rustam Orujov will face Soichi Hashimoto. U81kg Goki Maruyama and Wang Ki-Chun will meet in an interesting Asian final. In the IJF ranking Georgii Zantaraia is back at his number one position U66kg. He replaces Davaadorj Tumurkhuleg who was number one after Paris.
