Brazilian judoka Bruno Mendonca won the World Cup in Sao Paolo in 2010. He captured the gold medal at the Pan American Championships in Guadalajara in 2011 and Pan American Games in 2011 as well. He took a gold medal at the London Prepares Olympic Test Event in 2011, his best year. Also in 2011 he became World Military Games Champion with the Brazilian team in Rio de Janeiro. He lives in Portugal and is related to Patricia Sampaio.
