Russian judoka Irina Dolgova won the European senior title in 2018 in Tel Aviv. SHe won almost 20 World Cup mdedals. Silver at the 2017 European Championships in Warsaw. Dolgova won the Grand Slam of Abu Dhabi in 2017. She won 6 European and World Cadet and Junior titles as well as the EYOF in 2011. Dolgova won her 1st Grand Prix in 2014 in Samsun. In 2015 Dologova won her first Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi. She took a silver medal at the IJF Masters in St. Petersburg in 2017 and bronze in 2019.

Korean Kang Yu-Jeong won her first Grand Prix gold medal as her country’s new batch of judoka made a promising start at the Grand Prix in Hohhot. The Grand Prix in Hohhot in China attracted a number of top athletes such as Olympic champion Lukas Krpalek (CZE) who competes in the heavyweight category. Also present were Rio 2016 Olympic silver medallist Dorjsuren Sumiya (MGL) and former world champion Munkhbat Urantsetseg (MGL), as well as reigning world champion Haga Ryunosuke (JPN), who won bronze at the Olympics last year. An absolute fairytale was the victory for 16-year young Daria Bilodid of the Ukraine. What a tremendous surprise for the tall youngster who won almost all competitions in Europe and can still go for the European Cadet championships, but we guess she will skip that one.
