Russian judoka Irina Dolgova won the Grand Slam of Abu Dhabi in 2017. She won 6 European and World Cadet and Junior titles as well as the EYOF in 2011. She won her 1st Grand Prix in 2014 in Samsun. She won bronze at the Grand Slam in Tyumen. In 2015 Dologova won her first Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi. She captured silver at the 2017 European Championships in Warsaw. She won silver at the Grand Prix in Hohhot. She took a silver medal at the IJF Masters in St. Petersburg in 2017 and GP Zagreb in 2018.

Teenage sensation Daria Bilodid of the Ukraine extended her winning-streak to 25 contests to wrap up her sixth win in nine months at the Grand Prix of Zagreb. Strong Russian team in Agadir will face young challengers

Starting on Friday the Grand Prix in Agadir will host 38 nations with 241 athletes from five continents. Not a huge field with just 102 women. Many delegations arrived in Agadir with young athletes, who they want to test before the Olympic qualification starts in May on the occasion of the Hohhot Grand Prix.
