Romanian judoka Constantin Niculae was 1981 World Championships finalist in Maastricht. He won the European title U65kg in 1981. Ge took victories in Munich, Plovdiv, Berlin, Potsdam and Bucharest. Lightweight Niculae competed at the Olympic Games U65kg.
