Khasan Khalmurzaev of Russia won the Olympic title in Rio in 2016 in the final vs Travis Stevens. In 2016 he became European Champion and won the GP of Havana. At the 2017 World Championships he won bronze. The twinbrother of Khusen won the Universiade title in 2015 and was European Junior Champion in 2011 and won 2 medals at European U23 Championships. Khasan was World U17 Champion in Budapest in 2009 U73kg. In 2017 he won the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg and IJF Masters in St. Petersburg.

Which World Ranking Leaders take 50,000 dollars?

The leaders of the IJF World Ranking per 17 December after the World Masters in St. Petersburg will receive an extra bonus of 50,000 dollar for each category. For many this will be an extra year salary besides the usual price money in the IJF World Tour. Never the IJF rewarded an amount of 700,000 as bonus at the end of the year. Read more

Khasan Khalmurzaev takes home gold at World Judo Masters

Olympic champion Khasan Khalmurzaev was crowned the U81kg World Judo Masters gold medallist after a domestic meeting with European bronze medallist Aslan Lappinagov (RUS) in the final. After severe calculations it was Khalmurzaev who captured the world number position and 50,000 USD bonus on top of his gold medal. Read more

Eight new World Ranking leaders set Japan back to the top

On Monday the new IJF World Ranking was released with eight new world ranking leaders. Soichi Hashimoto (U73kg) and Sumiya Dorjsuren (U57kg) were number one last week and also won the world title. It’s not about the ranking but about the performance.
