    Naohisa Takato is triple World Champion. He won gold in 2018 in Baku, 2017 in Budapest and in 2013 he won the title in Rio de Janeiro for the first time. Takato won bronze at the worlds in Chelyabinsk in 2014. He won the World Junior title in 2011 in Cape Town. In 2009 Takato became World Cadet Champion also in Budapest. He was Olympic bronze medallist in 2016 in Rio. In 2017 he added his third Paris victory. Takato won various Grand Slams in Moscow, Tokyo, Paris (4), Düsseldorf and Masters.

At the2021 Asia-Oceania Judo Championships in Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan's Nurillaev defeated former World Champion of South Korea, An Ba-ul by ippon in the men's U66kg final. Nurillaev captured the gold medal with impressive judo at the Grand Slam in Tbilisi two weeks ago and took bronze in Tashkent and Tel Aviv and seems to mingle easily in the top athletes in the U66kg category.
