Naohisa Takato is triple World Champion. He won gold in 2018 in Baku, 2017 in Budapest and in 2013 he won the title in Rio de Janeiro for the first time. Takato won bronze at the worlds in Chelyabinsk in 2014. He won the World Junior title in 2011 in Cape Town. In 2009 Takato became World Cadet Champion also in Budapest. He was Olympic bronze medallist in 2016 in Rio. In 2017 he added his third Paris victory. Takato won various Grand Slams in Moscow, Tokyo, Paris (4) and Masters.

Three-time and reigning world champion Takato Naohisa (JPN) won the Paris Grand Slam for the fourth time as he maintained his 100% winning record over former world champion Yeldos Smetov (KAZ). Japanese ace Takato, who has now won in Paris in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019, set a new record as his victory was his ninth on the Grand Slam stage. Read more
