Andreas Preschel of East Germany was the 1983 World Champion of Moscow. Preschel won bronze at the European Championships in 1985 in Hamar. He won international events in Lund (SWE), Leipzig and Lovetch. He was East German champion U95kg in 1983 and 1985. He won European Junior silver in 1980.
