Brazilian Maria Suelen Altheman reached the final of the World Championships twice in 2013 and 2014. She won the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi in 2016 and she won the Grand Slam of Ekaterinburg in 2019. She took gold at the Grand Prix in Düsseldorf and silver in Tbilisi. Altheman won World silver with Brazil in 2013 and won World Military Championships silver. She won bronze at the Grand Slam in Tokyo and IJF Masters in 2017 and 2018. Altheman took a silver medal at the GS in Ekaterinburg and Brasilia

In the women’s heavyweight of the Grand Prix in Tbilisi Maryna Slutskaya of Belarus won the gold medal. Slutskaya stopped the local Elene Kebadze of host nation Georgia on her way to the final.
