German judoka Martyna Trajdos won the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg in 2017. Trajdos won the European Games in Baku U63 and was flagbearer at the closing ceremony. She won European Championships bronze in 2018 in Tel Aviv. Trajdos captured over 25 World Cup medals. She won the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2015. She won silver at the Grand Prix in Düsseldorf in 2017. Trajdos clinched a gold medal at the gold Grand Prix in Hohhot in 2019

As it is the case with Kelmendi in the U52kg, the current U63kg world champion, Tina Trstenjak of Slovenia seems unstoppable, also at the Grand Slam of Paris. Winner of the world title in Astana, she added a new Grand Slam gold medal to her prize list today by defeating the Dutch fighter Juul Franssen in the final. If the score looked close, as Trstenjak won with a single yuko, never ever during the whole fight, Franssen seemed to be in the position to take the advantage. Read more
