Haruka Tachimoto is 2016 Olympic Champion of Rio and was 7th at the 2012 Olympic Games. She won the Grand Slam of Paris in 2015 and silver in 2016. She won the Junior world title in 2008 in Bangkok and 2009 in Paris. She won events in Tunis, Rotterdam, Tokyo, Abu Dhabi, Paris and Tyumen. She contributed to the world team title in 2013. She announced her retirement in December 2018 due to injuries at the age of 29. Haruka became a mother of a daughter in September 2021.
