Belgian Charline van Snick is Olympic Games bronze medallist in 2012, 2013 World bronze medallist and 2015 European Games winner after two lost European finals. In 2015 she won the Grand Prix in Dusseldorf and took silver at the Grand Slam of Paris. She won a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2017 U52kg. Van Snick won the Grand Slam of Abu Dhabi in 2017 and she took 29 World Cup medals. She won the Grand Prix in The Hague in 2018 and bronze at the 2018 World Masters.

European Cup Belgrade perfect host for 261 athletes

261 Judoka from a record number of 34 nations will be fighting this weekend in Belgrade for the European Cup, slightly earlier than last year when the previous edition was held in September. More then 25% of the field in filled with Serbian athletes. Unfortunetaly not with World Ranking leader Aleksandar Kukolj nor World Champion Nemanja Majdov. Distria Krasniqi of Kosovo celebrated winning her third Grand Prix gold medal as the 21-year-old can now already count herself as one of the world’s elite judoka in the U52kg category.
